Today I roused myself before dawn, donning my tennies to meet the gang from work for a three-mile walk on the beach. I was grumbling and groaning as I rolled out of bed, bleary-eyed from playing way too late into the night.
But once the coffee filled my veins and I inhaled the cool, salty ocean breezes, I was happy to be up and about before the city came fully alive. The gorgeous orange sun, rising shimmering on the waves, warmed my soul far more than it did my body.
On such mornings, I feel blessed to live in paradise.
